Book Blogging - Carnivora
Les Barany and Kevin Slaughter are feverishly working on the layout and design work for Carnivora at the Scapegoat office in Baltimore. Images are still coming in and hard decisions being made on what to include and what to exclude. We’d like to share with you previews of three spreads and a single page in the works. Design may change, but it gives you a good representation of a few of the artists.

Zdzislaw Bekinski

H.R. Giger

Eric Joyner / Hanno von Bran

Mark Mothersbaugh
We are glad to share with you, sparingly and periodically, some of the paintings and sculptures that are being created specifically for Carnivora, before the Spring 2008 release of the book.

I’m honored to be included in this book and I’m REALLY honored to be in the same book as Peter Pontiac. Yeah!

Thanks, Anthony.
It is very satisfying to read your comment and it makes me glad that I was able to work up the work up the courage to contact such, living legends as Peter Pontiac, Tomi Ungerer, Sibylle Ruppert, Tanino Liberatore, Marshall Arisman, and Hajime Soroyama, the artists I grew up being enthralled by and who helped shape my own outlook on art. You would think, by now, it would come easy to me, but it does not. One of the most exciting things about doing the book for me was being given the opportunity connect the dots like this, as in this instance, from Pontiac to Ausgang. Peter does not yet have a website but you will find his page on http://www.clogwork.blogspot.com very interesting, as will as this music video clip he created for the band NRA the old fashioned way. At this point I would like to add that I am l just as honored to have you in the book and I am glad Debra was able to hook us up. - Les
